Testimonials

On 9/24/2026 Martha Piepmeyer had this to say:
The Old Powder House Inn and Breakfast is in the center of the touring district. The owners and staff are so kind, courteous, personable and eager to make sure the customer is satisfied and content. The home is 200 years old and very nice with a huge balcony on the second floor which we enjoyed very much. There is a large porch on the 1st floor but the upstairs is private and safe from anyone but hotel guests. With the porch swing and lots of seating and end tables it became an outdoor sanctuary for reading and visiting. This place is wonderful, safe and relaxing. Also the breakfast is to die for, so delicious! In St Augustine, this is a fabulous place to stay.

(Translated by Google) I stayed at this hotel for one night this past September. It's a beautiful building, everything is very well decorated, well-maintained, clean, and pleasant. The service is excellent. The room was huge and had a great shower. Everything was very tasteful, and the breakfast was great. It was a great choice, and I recommend it. It's worth mentioning that it has parking and is located in the historic center.

Could not have picked a better place to stay in St Augustine. Location was perfect just off St George St so quiet but close to everything. The room was great (Serenity #6) and the staff was the best part. Great breakfast and all were friendly and accommodating. Even complimentary cookies and wine 24/7!!
